One day, Gertrude McCluck wanted to have some fun. But first, she had to kill the evil rooster, Pecker. She planted green, juicy grapes in the fox den while they were sleeping. "So," she told Pecker, "there is a beautiful dinner for chickens. Why don't you come with me to this elegant occasion?"
Pecker said, "I will." So Gertrude led him halfway. Then he ran ahead into the fox den. Once she got back home, she said, "Let's have some fun. I got rid of the rooster." The girls cheered for an hour! Next, they got into the Gertrude McCluck automobile, a black cube with Gertrude's head on it. Under her head it said, "Gertrude McCluck" in big letters.
Gertrude and the ladies drove sneakily to the Easter parade. Sneaking into the parade, they started egging the children! The children started dodging, screaming, and running away from the gooey projectiles. Gertrude and friends also had an egg shooter that could shoot every kind of egg in the world.
Then the police started chasing them in their cars. They turned on the shooter that shot ostrich eggs at the windshields. The police turned on their windshield wipers. They couldn't see because they had smeary eggs on the windshields. One egg accidentally went into the marching band's tuba. The man blew the egg out. It hit a fancy lady with a dress on. Because of all this commotion, the parade started chasing Gertrude McCluck. She raced away and parked her cube in her special garage that had a tall roof.
Gertrude took our some very fancy dresses from her cube. Gertrude and her hen friends put on the dresses and stood on stilts. When the parade came by, the ladies snuck into the parade and pretended they were beautiful ladies. Next, the people started forgetting about the chickens and started liking the new ladies in the parade.
When the parade was coming by Gertrude's garage, Gertrude wanted to have some more fun. She pressed a button that made eggs start flying everywhere. When the parade ran away, the ladies stayed behind. They flew into the garage, took off their fancy things and wigs, hopped into the car, and drove back home. When they returned, they acted like nothing had ever happened. When the farmer looked, he thought nothing had happened. Gertrude and her friends had a lot of fun at the Easter parade.
